Birichino "Scylla" Red Blend

The 2023 Scylla centers on old-vine Carignan from Contra Costa and Lodi, featuring small percentages of varieties that span Birichino's portfolio, including Grenache, Mourvèdre, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is equal parts floral and savory on the nose, followed by a juicy, straightforward and admirably polished palate. It finishes on a fruit-driven note framed with a touch of pleasant rusticity.
