Chateau Labadie Medoc Cru Bourgeois

Not huge intensity here, it hums along at an unfussy pace, the soft fruits make it hard to built up a sense momentum.

The 2020 Labadie offers simple red cherry and strawberry scents that lack a bit of amplitude. The palate is sweet and quite oaky on the entry, though there is sufficient fruit underneath. There is a seductive velvety sheen to this Médoc and though one can criticize the over-zealous use of oak, it manages to retain balance.
