The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Kanonkop Kadette, raised for 12 months in oak barrels, has a punchy blackberry and tobacco leaf scented bouquet that is very Medoc in style. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins, just a slight jarring bitterness here that knocks the finish off balance. Toasty, light liquorice notes on the finish that just cuts away a bit short.
