Lang & Reed Cabernet Franc

Distinguished and delicious, this is a fantastic bottling of Cabernet Franc. 2021 marks the first year of this wine, a ‘culmination of four decades of making the variety in California.’ Concentrated aromas of red and black bramble fruits, accents of savoury thyme and crushed stone. The palate is a myriad of nuance, complexity and straightforward, honest winemaking. Ripe blackberries in the August sun introduce savoury notes of Mediterranean scrub, purple florals, and stony mineral character. The finish goes on and is marked by black tea and sumac notes. This is one delicious wine and has the proper structure to age well.
