The Balcombe Vineyard, located across the street from Domaine Drouhin Oregon, was planted in 1990 in Jory soils, and Patty Green and Jim Anderson started farming the site in 1997. Grapes for the 2022 Pinot Noir Balcombe Vineyard were harvested October 11 and 18. Matured for about nine months in 16% new and 58% once-used barrels, it has broody aromas of dark cherries, pipe tobacco, pepper and dried herbs. The light-bodied palate is chalky and refreshing with gently rustic, herbal flavors and a long, perfumed finish. 474 cases produced.
