Patricia Green Sauvignon Blanc

The Patricia Green Cellars Estate Vineyard was originally planted in 1984. It’s home to some of the oldest Sauvignon Blanc vines in the Willamette Valley, planted in 1990 and the early 2000s on volcanic and marine soils. Grapes were harvested September 18, and the wine was fermented and matured in acacia puncheons (20% new). “They turn lemons into lemonade,” owner and winemaker Jim Anderson quips. The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc Estate Vineyard has nuanced aromas of fresh pineapple, kiwi, dried tarragon, beeswax and candle smoke. The light-bodied palate is bursting with tropical fruit and smoky mineral flavors. Its vibrant acidity lends it a weightless feel, and it has a long, flavor-packed finish. Treat it like a Bordeaux Blanc and enjoy over the next 3-5+ years.
