Robert Foley Vineyards Cabernet Franc

The Cabernet Franc is stunning, with aromas of black and blue fruit. Sourced from the Lisowski Vineyard, located east of Atlas Peak at approximately 1,500 feet on a steep, northeast-facing slope, it exhibits remarkable site expression. The palate offers a fantastic mouthfeel, with very fine-grained yet firm tannins that deliver texture, intensity, and levity. Muscular yet graceful, the wine is taut in its youth but incredibly bright, with terrific fruit concentration that draws you back for another sip. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 18 months in one-third new French oak. Robert Foley has been making wine in Napa Valley since 1977, learning under Joe Heitz and André Tchelistcheff before shaping the styles at Markham and Pride Mountain, and founding his own Howell Mountain estate in 1998. Known for patient, long-lived reds, he insists that real winemaking begins in the vineyard.
