Wolffer Estate "Summer In A Bottle" Long Island Rose

Wölffer built its cash flow (if not its reputation) on rosé, and it has become the winery's single-largest bottling. There are 60,000 cases of the 2024 Summer in a Bottle Rosé, which is about 50% Merlot and 50% seven or eight other varieties (including white grapes). Bottled just a few days before my visit, it delivers concentrated notes of strawberries and passion fruit, medium weight on the palate, a gentle, silky mouthfeel and a crisp, refreshing finish. Drink it over the next year or so.
