Zeitgeist Cabernet Sauvignon Napa

I discovered this wine at Premier Napa Valley in February of 2024. Zeitgeist Cellars is a collaboration between husband-wife team Jennifer Williams and Mark Porembski. This is a barrel selection of the winery's vineyard sources, which include Lewelling Ranch in St. Helena, Farella Vineyard in Coombsville, Fanucchi-Wood Road Vineyard in Sonoma, Sleeping Lady Vineyard in Yountville, Oakville Station in Oakville, and Rafael Vineyard in Oak Knoll. 96% Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with 4% Cabernet Franc, aged 20 months in French oak. Wonderfully rich and full-bodied with silky black fruit, cassis, and a bed of fine-grained tannins that have length and staying power. A long mineral-scented finish is layered with tobacco, vanilla and cedarwood spices.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a dark, explosive wine. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, sweet spice and new leather are all dialed up to the maximum in this dense, plush Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an especially opulent offering that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
