Pretty notes of orchard blossoms and chalky mineral on the nose waft through the palates yellow apple, pear and grated ginger elements, plus a pleasing touch of lightly bitter pink grapefruit pith. This is a fine, mineral-driven aperitif, with a refined mousse and lightly mouthwatering acidity carrying the enticing flavor profile. Disgorged November 2024. Drink now. 2,000 cases imported.

With its crisp apple fruit and touch of citrus, this initially seems to be merely fruit. Then, slowly, richness and a sense of maturity emerge to create a wine that is complex, full and rich. Open this an hour before pouring.

The NV Brut Premier Cru Cuis makes a great introduction to the house style. White flowers, spices, pears and peaches are some of the notes that take shape in the glass. This is a fairly round, approachable style for Cuis, but it works, especially within the context of an entry-level wine. The Brut Premier Cru Cuis is a blend of vintages; 72% 2008, 13.3% 2007, 3.3% 2006,7.5% 2005, 3.9% 2004 to be exact. The wine was disgorged on June 30, 2011. Dosage is 8 grams per liter. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014.
