An enticing, earthy, spicy, woodsy aroma draws you easily into this layered, complex and savory wine. Bay leaves, sour cherries, beef broth and cooked cherries add plenty of flavor to fill out the moderate tannins and full body.

The medium garnet 2019 Pinot Noir Los Carneros offers up attractive aromas of sous bois, beetroot and ripe cherries. Matured in French oak (15% new) for 10 months, it's medium-bodied, round and silky but not hugely concentrated or tannic-a pleasant, easy-drinking Pinot for the short term. Like the 2020 Chardonnay Los Carneros, it's an excellent value.
