The 2022 Syrah is terrific as well as a great value. Upfront black and blue fruits, peppery herbs, and violet notes all define the bouquet, and it's a pleasure-bent, medium-bodied, front end-loaded effort that will drink nicely for 3-5 years.

The Readers' blackberry, honeysuckle and meadow flowers aromas mix with a savory note similar to bone broth. There are more blackberries on the thick-textured palate, joined by blueberry jam, coffee and molasses flavors. The tannins are plush and the acidity is restrained with this Syrah, which also includes 20% Malbec and 5% Viognier.
