This huge but soft-spoken wine is massive in concentration and tannin structure yet comes off subtle and brooding at first. The nose is deep in black cherries, blueberries and dark chocolate before plump, satisfying black-fruit flavors coat the palate, embraced by waves of fine-grained tannins.

Dark and winey, this is packed with black currant and blackberry reduction notes allied tightly to a cast iron spine that drives along steadily. Flashes of apple wood, licorice and singed tobacco peek out on the finish, with the iron note resonating. Very solid. Best from 2025 through 2041. 732 cases made.

The main production at this estate, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Meadowrock Vineyard Estate Grown features attractive scents of black cherries, licorice, creosote and camphor. It's full-bodied, plush and creamy, richly concentrated and textured on the palate, then shows a bit of warmth, softly dusty tannins and bright acids on the finish.
